A writer-director based in Los Angeles, Chloe Okuno is a graduate of UC Berkeley with a masters from the AFI Conservatory, where she received the Franklin J. Schaffner Fellow Award and directed the award-winning horror short Slut. She wrote and directed a segment for the anthology film V/H/S/94. She made her directorial debut with the 2022 film Watcher.

ก่อนหน้านี้ได้เคยมีรายงานออกมาว่า Netflix กำลังพัฒนาภาพยนตร์เรื่องใหม่ที่อิงจาก Fear Street ของนักเขียน RL Stine ซึ่งเคยเปิดตัวภาพยนตร์แบบครบไตรภาคไปเมื่อปี 2021 และในตอนนี้ก็ได้มีการเปิดเผยรายละเอียดของโปรเจกต์ออกมาเพิ่มขึ้น โดยมีรายงานออกมาว่าภาพยนตร์ Fear Street เรื่องใหม่นี้จะกำกับโดย Chloe Okuno
